Nov 13, Melki rated it really liked it Shelves: Bink and Gollie is now looking at me with a mixture of amusement and pity. Funny, great drawings, engaging Wonderful story. Put together two Minnesotans and one animator and what do you get? I could almost hear Bink’s cute little voice in my head she has some of the best lines.
Whenever Book 2 is coming out and pleaseplease say it isit’s not soon enough. Together, we see one another. This book bridges the picture book to the graphic novel in a way kids will love.
I would use this book with readers that are transitioning to chapter books in grades. The vocabulary is rather sophisticated compared to typical easy gollis, but lots of illustrations and just a little text on each page makes the books manageable for kids who are reluctant to read.

In the second tale Gollie is determined to scale the heights of the Andes Mountains in her living room but finds it difficult to do so when Bink keeps knocking on her front door. Why do you think they get along so well?
Oh please, oh please, oh please gollue this be the first in a series. For example Gollie wishes to climb to the top of the Andes while remaining in her living roombut Bink simply keeps disturbing her and knocking on her door. The different nuances of color with the grey scale was refreshingly simplistic and pleasant. Bink and Gollie is now looking at me with a mixture of amusement and pity.
I quite enjoyed the clever illustrations and how they depicted the world of Bink and Gollie.
Bink & Gollie Book Review
Both writers are known for their amusing and ane arch narrative style, and here, in three short chapter-stories, they give us two girls who delight and vex each other in equal parts…. That is not an exact quote.
Like a whole host of new illustrators these days, we owe the existence of the illustrator, one Mr. Children will have fun filling in all the spaces this high-spirited, quirky, and warmhearted offering leaves to the imagination.
True, she often tries to impose her opinions on Bink your socks are gollue bright, your fish is not marvelous, etc.
I can now add Bink and Gollie to that list.
